Research from the National Coalition for Parent Involvement in Education shares that “no matter their income or background, students with involved parents are more likely to  have higher grades and test scores, attend school regularly, have better social skills, show improved behavior and adapt well to school.”

Fundraising:

PTAs in NYC Department of Education schools are required to fundraise in accordance with the Chancellor's Regulations in order to ensure that fundraising activities are conducted in a transparent and equitable manner. These regulations provide guidelines for how PTAs can raise and allocate funds, as well as ensure that all fundraising activities are consistent with the mission and goals of the school. Additionally, the regulations provide guidance on how PTAs can work collaboratively with school administration to identify areas of need and develop fundraising goals that are aligned with the school's strategic plan. By following these regulations, PTAs can ensure that their fundraising efforts are fair, transparent, and effective in supporting the needs of the school community. Furthermore, adherence to these regulations helps to promote accountability and build trust between the PTA, school administration, and the broader community.

Currently, our school is participating in World's Finest Chocolates Fundraiser to support senior activities and support Parent Engagement Activities.
