I am so excited to kick off the 2024-2025 school year, which is BWA’s 21st school year! I am certain it will be our best one yet! This year we will continue to offer robust programming with our extended day (4 days a week) and our shortened Wednesday. All core classes will follow the New York City Mandated Curriculum with Expeditionary Learning in ELA, Illustrative Math in Math, Amplify Science and Passports to Social Studies.
This year, we are excited to share that we have been awarded a fully furnished Verizon Lab equipped with Virtual Reality technology, 3d printing, computer science courses and more! We will continue to offer arts through partnerships and focus on building on your child’s ability to be an independent learner but putting academic rigor at the forefront. We will continue to offer Science and Math Regents to ensure your child graduates with a chance to earn high school credits and will equip them with the skills to be a great writer! Throughout the year we will be celebrating and showcasing their greatness through our quarterly Honor Roll Assemblies and school-wide trips!
As a reminder, attendance is paramount for student success! Be sure your child is in school each and every day to ensure they pass their classes.

¡Estoy muy emocionada de iniciar el año escolar 2024-2025, que es el año escolar número 21 de BWA! ¡Estoy seguro de que será el mejor hasta ahora! Este año continuaremos ofreciendo una programación sólida con nuestro día extendido (4 días a la semana) y nuestro miércoles acortado. Todas las clases básicas seguirán el plan de estudios obligatorio de la ciudad de Nueva York con aprendizaje expedicionario en ELA, matemáticas ilustrativas en matemáticas, ciencias amplificadas y pasaportes a estudios sociales.
¡Este año, nos complace compartir que nos han otorgado un laboratorio Verizon completamente amueblado y equipado con tecnología de realidad virtual, impresión 3D, cursos de informática y más! Continuaremos ofreciendo artes a través de asociaciones y enfocándonos en desarrollar la capacidad de su hijo para ser un estudiante independiente, pero poniendo el rigor académico a la vanguardia. ¡Continuaremos ofreciendo Regentes de Ciencias y Matemáticas para garantizar que su hijo se gradúe con la oportunidad de obtener créditos de la escuela secundaria y lo equiparemos con las habilidades para ser un gran escritor! ¡A lo largo del año celebraremos y mostraremos su grandeza a través de nuestras Asambleas del Cuadro de Honor trimestrales y viajes a nivel escolar!
