Good Afternoon, BWA Family!

Hope everyone had a Happy Mother's Day.  I hope you all have a wonderful day celebrating with loved ones.

We are halfway through May and have a busy end of the year planned. NYSESLAT testing is still in effect and ELA and Math performance assessments are this week. Social Studies and Science MOSLs will take place next week. It's important to remember that in the midst of all this testing, students should still be working hard to finish out the year strong!

Instructional & Cultural Updates
  1. NYSESLAT Testing Continues: Teachers will continue to be pulling students to administer the speaking portion of the NYSESLAT.
  2. May 18th Parent Teacher Conferences 5-8pm: Thursday is our final parent conferences. We will be handing out progress reports and updating parents on whether students are slated to attend summer school. We will also be hosting an orientation for incoming 6th graders in the Technology Room.
  3. BWA Lotteries: PBIS will continue their BWA lotteries for students in uniform that arrive before 8:30. This is a great way to celebrate being on time and prepared every day. It also promotes our BWA Bucks. Students should submit a signed BWA buck to their first period teacher and the bucks will be collected with the attendance.
If you have any questions, do not hesitate to reach out. Enjoy the good weather!

Best,
Principal Hasson
